NES Mario Cross Stitch

mario patternMario completeI found this pattern a couple of years ago on Deviant Art. I owe to it my revived interest in cross stitch. I had to compromise a bit on the colors but I’m happy with the result. I ran out of room for the last Mario and I was too lazy to do the checkered floor. I was hoping to have Mario fly and jump into his boot from Super Mario Bros 3, like so:


If you have a lot of patience (which you must have if you are a cross stitcher), give this one a shot.

Knitted Bunny Slippers

I absolutely love this bunny slipper pattern from Woodvale Knits. The basic pattern is the same for either an adult or child slipper. Just change the length before you start on the toe.

I made this pair for my sister with pink wool and maroon kid mohair.

bunny slippersThese were a 5-year-old’s birthday gift. Red embroidery thread makes a splendid nose.

I’m currently working on a third pair for a friend… Super quick to knit and oh-so-cute.
